Usually we hand over the keys to brewery (figuratively speaking of course!) to one of the Bad Shepherd crew for our Brew Crew Series. But this time we got our loyal flock of Black Sheep members involved instead!
They've been there for us through the good, the bad and the downright ugly (yes, that's you COVID-19). So with that kind of support, we thought it made sense to give them their own honorary Brew Crew beer.
It all started with a Zoom call back in May where 15 Black Sheep, 3 Dogs and 2 Brewers gathered to work out the details of their dream beer. A few cans and a lot of chat later, the Bayside Golden Strong was born! It's been a bit of strange journey with online catch ups & email updates instead of visits to the brewery to really get stuck in. But we've finally made it and Brew Crew #12 is here!
It's clean, crisp and strong - just like Black Sheep Cindy who wore her Brew Crew #12 tee whilst smashing a kettlebell world record then celebrated with a beer! It's also brewed with lemon myrtle to make it our fragrant Aussie take on the hoppy, boozy Belgian style beer.
