We’re here to make beer that is tasty, interesting and fulfilling. Whether at our brewery or through our bottles in people’s homes, we’re here to make things better. We’re here to make good, great. That’s the way beer should be.
The brainchild of husband and wife team, Dereck and Diti Hales, Bad Shepherd is all about tempting you with fine craft beer and complementing that with a menu heaving with smoked meat delicacies and good ol’ fashioned comfort food. Let us lead you into temptation…
We love what we do
We make beer. We take all this ‘stuff’ and do all these ‘things’ and then some beer is born. That’s a lot of fun but it isn’t the best part. The best part is having people try it, enjoy it, discuss it, compare it, and then come back and do it all over again. We love that we’re creating memories for people and helping them explore the world of craft beer.
Striving for excellence
We like our beer cold, our food hot and our toilets to have toilet paper. Who wants to drink beer out of chipped or warm glasses? Who wants to stand at the bar or wait at their table wondering if they’re going to be served? Who wants to take a six pack home only to discover the beer is off? Not us and not our customers. If they’re not happy, we’re not happy.
We care about our customers, our people and our community. We know that not all people are on the same beer journey that we are and we respect that, but for those who are, we want to offer something that stands for quality and showcases as many local suppliers as we can.
When it comes to beer, we’re treading our own path. We believe in what we’re doing and why we’re doing it – we believe in the beers we brew, the food we cook and the vibe we create and we’re not going to compromise on that, no matter what.
